Born in Pottstown, PA, Dr. Wisler earned his BS degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1963, his MS from Cornell University in 1965, and his PhD from the University of Colorado in 1970 after working at the GE Research and Development Center in Schenectady NY from 1965-1967. All degrees were in aerospace engineering.
Dr. Wisler’s active participation in teaching and improving pedagogy spans 36 years. He holds adjunct professorships at The Ohio State University, The University of Cincinnati, and the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing. He is on the engineering advisory boards of Penn State University and the University of Colorado. He is an international invited lecturer. Currently he is a half-time consultant for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working with the CDIO initiative.
